Dallas’s top collectors, tastemakers, and cultural influencers gathered for an intimate first look at WILDTYPE, Tappan Collective’s inaugural Texas exhibition. Hosted by Tappan Collective founder Chelsea Neman Nassib in partnership with ShopMy, the evening brought together a dynamic cross-section of the city’s creative community to celebrate the gallery’s highly anticipated Dallas debut.

Notable attendees included Chelsea Neman Nassib, Firoozeh Neman, Caroline Pinney, Heather Bardocz, Madi Nelson, Lamar McKinley, Meghan Looney, Denise McGaha, Carlyn McCrory, and more.

Founded in 2012, Tappan Collective has redefined contemporary art collecting by championing emerging artists, expanding access to exceptional works, and bridging the gap between artists and collectors through a digitally driven platform. Its arrival in Dallas reflects the city’s growing influence as a hub for design and collecting, and a long-standing base of local supporters who have championed the gallery’s artists.

Guests were guided through the WILDTYPE exhibition by Chelsea Neman Nassib alongside Tappan artists Firoozeh Neman and Caroline Pinney, creating a personalized and immersive experience. Reflecting the instinct, experimentation, and evolution embodied by the featured Tappan artists, each work offered a distinct and thought-provoking perspective on contemporary art.

Following the exhibition walkthrough, guests gathered in the gallery for a seated dinner, beginning with a celebratory welcome pour of Casa Dragones Joven and Ruinart Rosé. The space was transformed with bespoke florals by Bottega Florals and a warm, candlelit ambiance. Specialty Dirty Martinis by Kástra Elión Vodka accompanied the evening, while conversation flowed among artists, collectors, and tastemakers alike. The night concluded with a berry pavlova dessert, paired with Casa Dragones dessert Espresso Martinis.

“Bringing WILDTYPE to Dallas is about more than our first Texas debut—it’s about celebrating community,” says founder Chelsea Neman Nassib. “During our time here, we hope to honor our incredible network of artists, designers, and creatives while creating space for new connections to take shape. Tappan Collective’s values—here and beyond—are rooted in bringing people together through art, conversation, and shared inspiration.” Together, the evening marked the arrival of WILDTYPE in Dallas as a defining cultural moment, positioning Tappan Collective’s exhibition as a must-visit destination for collectors and art enthusiasts alike during Dallas Art Week, and signaling a dynamic new chapter in the city’s evolving art scene.
