The Vanguard Suite, an invitation-only private forum for women of influence, presented by 85th & Park Inc., hosted its inaugural event — The Confluence: Women's History Month Edition — at Little Maven, located at 30 West 18th Street in New York City. The evening brought together 50 hand-selected and nominated women of influence spanning the fields of entrepreneurship, entertainment, media, finance, creative direction, and cultural leadership to mark both Women's History Month and the official conception of The Vanguard Suite.
The gathering, curated by Erika Torres — Founder and President of 85th & Park Inc. and Convener of The Vanguard Suite— was designed as an invitation-only mixer offering purposeful connection, intentional introductions, and off-the-record conversation in an intimate, elevated setting. Every guest in attendance was personally vetted or nominated, reflecting The Vanguard Suite's core commitment to deliberate curation over general access.
The Confluence was produced in partnership with Women Work Better Together, an organization dedicated to connecting women across the entertainment industry and championing authentic community and advancement for women in the space. The partnership reflects a shared mission between both organizations — that women are exponentially more powerful when they are in the right room together.
The evening's curated guest gift bags were generously sponsored by an exceptional roster of clean, wellness, and beauty brands that share The Vanguard Suite's commitment to intentional living and elevated standards. Gift bag partners for The Confluence: Women's History Month Edition included:
The inclusion of these brands reflects The Vanguard Suite's dedication to surrounding women of influence with products and partners that align with their values — clean, intentional, and uncompromising in quality.
“The Vanguard Suite was built for the woman who has always been the most powerful person in the room — but rarely the one the room was designed for,” said Erika Torres, Convener of The Vanguard Suite. “Tonight was the first time that room existed. And it will not be the last.
The Vanguard Suite operates through three distinct programs: The Seat, an invitation-only private dinner series for 12 to 20 women of influence; The Confluence, a curated bi-monthly mixer series; and On the Record, a moderated panel discussion series featuring vetted speakers and a curated live audience. All three programs are based in New York City, with national expansion planned for Phase Two.
