Diane von Furstenberg and The WIE Suite hosted a celebration for Women’s History Month at the DVF headquarters in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
An audience of more than 150 women leaders and founders heard from Gloria Steinem, NorahO’Donnell, Ida Liu, Ita Ekpoudom, Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Samira Nasr, Hannah Bronfman, Kate Ryder, Toyin Ajayi, Tiffany Lopinsky, Danessa Myricks, Thelma Golden, Misty Copeland, and Huma Abedin.
The invitation-only program began with a poem performed by Rupi Kaur, followed by a welcome from Diane von Furstenberg and The WIE Suite Founder Dee Poku. A thoughtful curation of intimate conversations covered a range of topics impacting women, from Using Your Voice and The Great Wealth Transfer to Building Brands That Last and The Future Of Women’s Health.
Diane von Furstenberg set the tone for the afternoon by saying, “Kindness is a currency. The kinder you are, the better your karma is and the richer you are.”
Dee Poku continued, “What we wanted to do in the spirit of what Diane has built is really talk about legacy and talk about why we’re doing what we do and what is the legacy we want to leave behind?”
Prior to the conversations, Diane hosted speakers and mentors for a private lunch with special guest Elizabeth Kelly from Anthropic.
The inspiring day culminated in a performance by L.A.-based singer-songwriter Rozzi.
