STAUD and Frieze marked the start of Frieze Los Angeles with an intimate cocktail hosted by Sarah Staudinger and Ariel Emanuel at Chateau Marmont. Emanuel, founder of MARI, the global events and experiences company that includes Frieze in its portfolio of live properties, joined a varied mix of artists, gallerists, institutional leadership, and notable names from fashion and entertainment who all gathered to enjoy cocktails and music by HANK. In attendance were Rachel Sennott, Dree Hemingway, Winnie Harlow, Orlando Bloom, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Katherine Hughes, Supriya Ganesh, Bill Maher, Scout Willis, Cailin Russo, Matt Cohn, Casey Fremont, Christine Messineo, Devandra Banhart, Djuna Bel, Nikolai Haas, Essence Harden, Jay Ezra Nayssan, Jeffrey Deitch, Jennifer Atilemile, Juliette Labelle, Katherine E. Fleming, Kelly Akashi, Ben Enowitz, Lily Kwong, Mark Shapiro, Kristell Chadé, Meredith Mickelson, Nick Kroll, Simon Fox, Veronica & Brian Grazer, and more.

Debuting at the cocktail, STAUD revealed a collectible, limited-edition Tommy Bag created in partnership with Merikokeb Berhanu, who is represented by James Cohan gallery and will feature the artist in their presentation at this year’s fair. Inspired by Berhanu's painting Untitled CII (2025), the piece was created in celebration of the arts and Frieze Los Angeles - marking the intersection of contemporary art and fashion during a landmark cultural moment. Produced in four unique designs, each an edition of 10, the bag is intended as a collectible expression of creativity and craftsmanship. Priced at $1,300 per bag, guests were able to purchase the collector’s item on-site.

The evening underscored STAUD’s continued commitment to the Los Angeles community and its dedication to supporting the arts.
