On the first day of the Olympic Winter Games, the Official Timekeeper OMEGA hosted a memorable Opening Gala at its exclusive home for Milano Cortina 2026. Attending the inaugural celebrations at OMEGA House were the brand’s ambassadors George Clooney and Park Bo-gum, who joined the very first guests to be welcomed inside.

Other notable invitees on the night included American athlete Allyson Felix, American Actress Marisa Tomei, and Italian actor Saul Nanni.

Located at Ristorante Cracco, set within the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, OMEGA House Milano highlights OMEGA’s role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The venue provides an intimate yet inviting space that will serve as the home of the brand between February 8th and 21st.

The Opening Gala marked the beginning of an exciting journey ahead and was brought to life with a warm and sparkling ambiance, accentuated by the colours of Milano Cortina 2026.

OMEGA President and CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann, said, “This venue in Milano is our first ever OMEGA House at the Olympic Winter Games. It has proven to be such a success at summer editions, so we are truly looking forward to giving our winter guests the same amazing OMEGA experience. Opening night always creates such excitement, and we’re delighted that George and Bo-gum could bring their star quality to the night.”

The American actor, George Clooney, has served as an OMEGA ambassador since 2007, yet his personal connection to the brand stretches back to childhood, when he first discovered Speedmaster watches on the wrists of NASA astronauts. His passion for OMEGA was also passed down from his father, and George has since worn many of the brand’s timepieces on screen, as well as in his own daily life.

Speaking at the OMEGA House Opening Gala, George Clooney said, “I’ve spent many hours in northern Italy over the years, so it’s quite special to have the Olympic Winter Games taking place in this beautiful part of the world. Especially with OMEGA here as Official Timekeeper, I’m so thrilled that I get to experience this legendary side of the brand and witness their precision in action, as well as their unique OMEGA House hospitality.”

Korean actor Park Bo-gum is admired for his distinctive charm and outstanding on-screen presence. His wide-ranging acting spectrum and deep dedication to his craft closely resonate with the values that OMEGA has long pursued through its watchmaking, including precision, excellence, and enduring quality.

Speaking at OMEGA House Milano, Bo-gum said, “My relationship with OMEGA is still new, but I’m already experiencing so much of their quality. I’ve seen the brand’s excellence in their watchmaking, and now they are demonstrating it in the sporting world. I’m honoured to celebrate their Olympic Games legacy here at OMEGA House Milano, and to understand more about their historic role.”

Milano is the first winter edition of OMEGA House and offers a unique guest experience that honours the brand’s 94-year journey as Official Timekeeper. Throughout the day, invited visitors can relax in elegant and immersive areas, enjoy world-class Cracco cuisine, and watch the sporting action on large screens.
