Terra hosted a special event at the Sales Gallery for Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences to kick off Art Basel Miami Beach. The event included a panel featuring artist Marcel Dzama, Yabu Pushelberg’s Glenn Pushelberg, and Hanabi: Art And Artists' Jamie Stagnitta, moderated by CULTURED editor-at-large Julia Halperin.
Terra CEO David Martin welcomed guests and introduced the panelists, and Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten made a surprise appearance.
Beyond the event, Marcel Dzama’s three chess-inspired sculptures – The king moves like the knight, Blue bishop #1, and Red bishop #2 – are currently being exhibited in the sales gallery through December 12th. Composed of steel and industrial enamel paint, these pieces combine vivid coloration with a commanding architectural presence. Design studio Yabu Pushelberg will thoughtfully integrate Dzama’s sculptures into Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, once the building is complete.
Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences is the chef’s first-ever residential concept, developed by Terra and Lion and designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg.
