Ben & Jerry’s along with Gabriela Hearst and YOLA Mezcal presented the Creatives for Freedom Concert: a first-of-its-kind benefit concert in support of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and their work to protect civil rights and civil liberties for all.
Nine-time Grammy legend Sheryl Crow headlined the sold-out event at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn, joined by Mark Ronson, St. Vincent, Maggie Rogers, Taylor Meier, Mon Rovia, Joy Oladokun, Andrew Wyatt, and more. Music was arranged and directed by Rob Moose with Cody Fitzgerald.
Creatives for Freedom is the ACLU's initiative aimed at uniting powerful voices in fashion, advocacy, film, television, social media, music, comedy, and more to shine a spotlight on critical issues facing our democracy. This first-of-its-kind benefit concert celebrates the vibrant legacy of activism found in advocacy movements, bringing together creative minds from all walks of life to stand up for civil liberties. Born out of this legacy and the need for action in the face of threats to First Amendment rights, the Creatives for Freedom benefit concert brings together prominent artists to support the right to free speech and to protest.
The event took place inside artist Raúl de Nieves’s 'In the Light of Innocence', his first institutional exhibition presented by Pioneer Works, through December 13, 2025.
Presented by Ben & Jerry's, co-hosted by Gabriela Hearst and YOLA Mezcal, with special thanks to Butcher's Daughter, City Winery, and BFA.
