To kick off the buzzy Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend, Carbone Riviera, Major Food Group’s newest fish concept at Bellagio Resort & Casino, hosted an unforgettable grand opening celebration. Created by Major Food Group (MFG) co-founders Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick and Rich Torrisi, in partnership with MGM Resorts International, Carbone Riviera is a striking new chapter in the story of the celebrated Carbone brand, uniting its Italian-American heritage with a refined interpretation of seafood-centric coastal dining in one of Las Vegas’ most storied rooms.
Throughout the weekend, Carbone Riviera hosted several notable celebrities, including Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick, who enjoyed an 818 Tequila Cocktail on the restaurant’s stunning patio before boarding Fortuna, Bellagio’s custom 33-foot Riva yacht, to travel across Lake di Como to Bellagio Fountain Club.
Also spotted enjoying Carbone Riviera were Jon Hamm, who dined on the patio just before the F1 race; and Formula One drivers Pierre Gasly and Daniel Riccardo dining with a group of friends.
Setting the weekend in motion, Carbone Riviera hosted a private, Riviera-style grand opening party presented by American Express and Resy. Attendees included celebrities and VIPs like Dwight Howard, Jack Whitehall, Ashtin Earle, Patrick Ta, and Jack Goldburg.
Invited guests experienced a theatrical evening filled with exceptional seafood and delicacies, including bites of Mediterranean sea bream, Maine lobster, and truffle tortellini, cocktails such as house negronis and sunrise margaritas, and world-class entertainment, including a special performance by jazz musician and band leader Brian Newman.
The Martin Brudnizki-designed restaurant, with mosaic-clad archways, custom Murano glass chandeliers, and artworks by Miró, Picasso, and Renoir, provided the elegant setting for the Thursday night celebration. Guests entered the event on an orange carpet while plentiful floral arrangements and baskets overflowing with citrus and herbs filled the space. A striking, seashell-carved ice sculpture was adorned with oysters and caviar for guests to enjoy while taking in the sights from the restaurant’s patio.
