An intimate dinner took place at Marea Beverly Hills, where Salvatore Ferragamo, grandson of the iconic Italian designer, presented the wines of Il Borro and Pinino, historic Tuscan estates where winemaking, sustainability, and hospitality come together as part of the Ferragamo family’s enduring legacy.
The evening began with a private tasting at the Ferragamo boutique on Rodeo Drive, where guests were introduced to the Il Borro and Pinino collections. Mr. Ferragamo made a stylish entrance in a Ferrari Roma Spider, a collaboration with Ferrari Beverly Hills, before leading guests to a dinner at Marea Beverly Hills, the Italian seafood restaurant from the Altamarea Group, which made its debut in California earlier this year, following its success as one of New York’s most acclaimed fine dining destinations on Central Park South.
Francesco Grosso, Wine Director of Altamarea Group, guided guests through a 6 wine pairings that beautifully connected the Ferragamo family’s wines with Chef PJ Calapa’s menu — beginning with the sparkling Bolle di Borro Rosé, followed by the newly released Brunello di Montalcino from Pinino, and concluding with Il Borro Toscana, the family’s first and flagship wine, a Super Tuscan blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Syrah that perfectly embodies the diversity and quality of this part of Tuscany. The evening reflected the meeting of Italian craftsmanship, culinary artistry, and the Ferragamo family’s legacy of excellence. “Our wines are born from the same values my grandfather built his fashion house on — integrity, innovation, and a deep respect for Italian heritage,” said Salvatore Ferragamo. “Tonight was about more than fine wine and cuisine; it was about bringing together a community that shares those values. Hosting this gathering at Marea Beverly Hills felt like a natural connection.”
The dinner celebrated a shared dedication to quality, and the art of Italian living — from the vineyards of Tuscany to the tables of Beverly Hills. “It was a true pleasure to host Salvatore Ferragamo and Il Borro Wines at Marea Beverly Hills last night — such a perfect match,” said Ahmass Fakahany, Founder and CEO of Altamarea Group. “The evening beautifully captured the shared spirit of Italian excellence — craftsmanship, hospitality, and authenticity — that defines both Marea and the Ferragamo family’s winemaking heritage.”
