Jaipur Living and their Global Sustainability Ambassador, Marina Testino, proudly unveiled Manchaha: Memories Preserved, a limited-time gallery exhibition open to the public at VFA Gallery from May 16th-30th, showcasing the one-of-a-kind creations of Manchaha, an award-winning initiative that empowers rural Indian artisans to weave their personal stories into breathtaking rugs.
Guests in attendance included Marina Testino, Waris Ahluwalia, Anu Duggal, Enrique Badulescu, Brianna Lance, Siddharth Kasliwal, Mia Mamede, Sasha Mei, Mimi Nguyen, Sedef Gali, Minku Kim, Fatima Fazal, Brett Kincaid, John Ortved, Dora Fung, Oyin Adedoyin, Allie Weiss, Hannah Martin, Janelle Lloyd, Melissa Studach, and many more.
The exhibition, which is on display at Manhattan-based VFA Gallery, highlights the artistry of weavers who transform hand-spun leftover yarn into stunning designs inspired by their memories, relationships, and surroundings. More than rugs, these pieces are deeply personal expressions—woven journals of life and culture. "Manchaha is a canvas of human emotion," says Kavi Chaudhary, Design Director and Founder of the Manchaha initiative. "Every rug carries the soul of its creator, bringing heritage and storytelling into the realm of contemporary design.”
The exhibition will run at VFA Gallery from May 16th to 30th and will feature an exclusive look at these remarkable works, alongside insights into the artisans’ inspirations and sustainable craftsmanship.
