The Position

Growth opportunity for a Senior Account Executive within the Real Estate Collection at prominent Los Angeles public relations firm. We seek an SAE to develop and execute media presence for high-profile luxury condo developments with mix of residential, retail and resort properties. This position is perfect for creative and energetic publicist looking to promote various real estate assets around the globe. We, in turn, require strong writing and pitching skills, proven media contacts, high energy level and ability to juggle many tasks in a fast-paced environment. Minimum of three years of media and client relations experience required, as well as versatility and media savvy to generate effective media placements. PR background in relevant sectors such as development, brokerage, architecture, and/or interior design is recommended. Comprehensive benefits package; salary commensurate with experience.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Media Relations

- Develop lasting relationships with key journalists and editors

- Drive impactful media results for all assigned accounts

- Pitch local, regional and national publications including print, broadcast and online outlets

- Help book media tours and press trips

- Track and monitor appropriate editorial calendar opportunities

- Create top target media distribution lists

- Draft press releases, bios, backgrounders and fact sheets when necessary

- Follow and stay on top of trends and updates pertaining to key social media channels

- When necessary, research new media outlets and uncover the appropriate contact

- Read important media outlets on a regular basis; become familiar with key newspapers, magazines, trades, websites, blogs and broadcast outlets

- Recommend drafted influencer lists for relevant PR campaigns

Client Relationships

- When necessary, attend client meetings and presentations

- Accompany clients on media tours and press trips when appropriate

- In some cases, serve as client day-to-day contact/point person

Merchandising

- Prepare monthly client activity updates

- Work directly with account coordinator to track publications and client placements

- Merchandise media placements in a professional and effective manner

- Work with operations to finalize annual media exposure summaries and ROI documents

Account Management

- Write and edit press releases, pitch letters, press kit collateral and other documents

- Prepare meeting and conference call agendas and meeting recaps

- Assist supervisors with various tasks to ensure accounts are being serviced properly

- When necessary, conduct industry research

Requirements:

- Candidate should have 3-5 years of solid media relations experience, particularly within the hospitality space
