Director of Digital Influence
FITZ & CO · Remote (U.S.) · Full-Time · Exempt
Compensation: $85,000-$120,000, dependent upon experience and location

This is a role for someone who understands that an influence strategy is never just a content calendar. It's reputation, relationships, and relevance, engineered with vision and precision.

The Role
As Director of Digital Influence, you'll build and scale integrated influence strategies that drive measurable outcomes for our clients and our agency. You'll lead the intersection of influencer and creator partnerships, social media strategy, digital communications, community engagement, paid amplification, executive thought leadership, AI-enabled content innovation, and cultural trend forecasting. You'll serve as a strategic advisor to high-profile clients and internal teams, oversee our Digital Influence practice, and mentor a team of strategists, account managers, creators, and coordinators, while helping grow the agency through client retention, service expansion, and new business.

What You'll Do 

  • Serve as senior strategic lead across a portfolio of high-profile client accounts, owning service delivery and account profitability.
  • Develop integrated digital influence strategies aligned to client objectives, audience growth, and KPIs.
  • Advise clients on creator marketing, influencer partnerships, executive visibility, community engagement, and emerging digital trends, including during reputation management and crisis moments.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage creator partnerships, sponsorships, and brand ambassador programs, with sound processes for vetting, contracting, disclosure, and measurement.
  • Lead executive branding and thought leadership across LinkedIn, podcasts, speaking, and media.
  • Oversee social strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, Discord, Reddit, Substack, and emerging platforms.
  • Champion AI-powered tools and emerging technology, responsibly, to elevate content, workflow, and audience analysis, and set agency best practices for ethical use, disclosure, and brand safety.
  • Build measurement frameworks that connect campaign performance to business outcomes, and turn data into strategic recommendations.
  • Drive new business: pitches, proposals, partnerships, and an annual revenue target set with agency leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop your team while establishing the workflows, SOPs, and standards that position FITZ & CO as a leader in digital influence and cultural relevance.

The Details
This is a fully remote role within the United States, with domestic and international travel for client meetings, conferences, activations, and art-world shows and events. Given the real-time nature of digital communications and global client service, some availability outside standard business hours may be required during campaigns, launches, or urgent client matters. You'll need a professional remote work environment and reliable internet.

REQUIREMENTS:

What You Bring Must Have

  • 8–12+ years in influencer marketing, digital marketing, social media strategy, PR, or communications, with agency experience strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of people management and team leadership.
  • A track record leading integrated influencer and creator campaigns with measurable business impact, and managing enterprise-level clients across multi-channel programs.
  • Deep fluency in the creator economy and influencer platforms (CreatorIQ, Traackr, Aspire, GRIN, Captiv8, Upfluence, or similar).
  • Strong command of social platforms, algorithms, content formats, and monetization trends.
  • Working knowledge of GA4, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn/TikTok analytics, social listening tools, and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Familiarity integrating AI into content, audience analysis, and campaign optimization.
  • A strategic, entrepreneurial mind; exceptional communication and presentation skills; and a genuine read on culture, trends, and audience psychology.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within the arts, culture, luxury, lifestyle, entertainment, technology, or hospitality sectors.
  • An established network of creators, media contacts, and opinion leaders.
  • Experience with executive thought leadership programs.
  • Knowledge of Web3, social commerce, and emerging creator economy trends.
  • Public speaking and industry thought leadership experience.
